Round The Pole Flying 2012

On Thursday 3rd of May the 172 scouts had a go at the art of "round the pole flying".  This involved making some light weight planes and attempting to fly them, two at a time, with them attached to the same pole buf from different "command wires".

The idea is to "dog-fight" and to try and shoot down the other plane.  Although they were having lots of fun we got through £14 on mini propellers! There card board planes were not a great success so we will try again next year with bolsa wood and hope for better results.
