Carsington 2011

002On the 10th of April 2011 the Cubs joined 600 other Cub Scouts from around Derbyshire for a walk all the way around Carsington Water in the Peak District.  The event was organized by the County to celebrate 95 year of Cub Scouting in the UK.
The walk was eight miles long and we started from Mill Fields car park at about 10:00.  The views of the peaks were spectacular as we walked around and we all made it to Sheep Wash car park for lunch by 12:00.  We had our sandwiches and then headed off to the visitors centre for an ice cream and run around the play area.  Finally we set off across the dam for the final leg back to Mill Fields.
The weather was great and all in all a good time was had by all.
