Ready-steady-cook 2016

campcookOn Saturday 6th February, 3 Scouts from the 172 took park in the Derby South District heat of the 2016 Derbyshire "ready-steady-cook" competition.  This is the third time the Scouts have entered the competation. 
The Scouts had to cook a three course meal for two, for less than £12.  They were allowed to bake cake or pastry and bring it already cooked, but every thing else had to be done in the time and on a two ring stove.  This years theme was "South America".
The 172 menu started with a Peruvian Soup, went on to Pan-Fried Chicken & Quinoa salad with Mint and Mango and ended with Traditional Alfajores & Cream.

The food was fantastic, from all of the teams, and our team did really well.  This was a big achievement for our team.  Well done to Dylan, Amy and Melaney.
