St. George's Day 2015

STH72945
St. George's Day is the most important day in the Scouting.  On this day we not only remember our patron saint but we all stand up and renew our Scouting promise.  We also try to be the largest the group on parade in our district!  This year's parade was held on Sunday 26th of April.

We were scheduled to parade to the Cathedral this year. Unfortunately the building was undergoing renovations at the time and so we were diverted to the nearby St Mary's Church.

Attendance was very good with around 2/3 of the group in attendance and almost all of the Scouts.  This year the honour of carrying the Scout flag went to Thomas.  Kristian and Josh were jobbed to escort the District flag at the head of the district.  They all did a really a good jobs as it's a long walk to St. Mary's and we took an interesting route!

All three sections put in a good showing and in uniform!  Thanks to all of those who attended.  You all looked very smart.
